We're All Ears Challenge for July 2016

I have been fortunate to attend the Great Reno Balloon Race two different times. It is so amazing to see the balloons setting up and then see so many of them in the air at the same time.

There are all shapes and sizes. I am sharing some of the pictures that I took in 2014.

I knew that I wanted to capture the colorful designs that a lot of the balloons have. I made the polymer clay cane shown here:

Then I cut slices from it and used a teardrop shape to make the balloon shape.
My earrings were made with the clay charms that I made from this cane.

Head on over to the Earrings Everyday blog to see what everyone else created this month...HERE

What a fun pair of earrings. I love the cane you made for them. I had a thought to use polymer clay too. But it was too hot to use the oven. And mine wouldn't have been as elaborate as a cane. Yours captures the colors of the inspiration photos perfectly.

I thought about doing that, but I didn't know how too! Well done!

Whoa! How cool is that!? Even though I work in polymer clay every day, I absolutely fail spectacularly at making canes! I love this sweet checkerboard that looks so very intricate! Your earrings are adorable! Thank you for joining in the fun of the We're All Ears challenge. Join me on August 5th for our next inspiration! Enjoy the day! Erin
